In order to achieve the best results from your Compex, you will need to know the proper muscle stimulation pad placement. Based on the muscle you’re looking to train, review the proper way to position yourself and the electrodes during stimulation. Watch the videos for a step-by-step explanation.
Both the Compex® wireless and wired electrodes should run from top to bottom, not across the middle of the abs. If using the wired Compex® device, take the black snap of one lead cable and connect it to one electrode. Take the red snap of the same lead cable and attach it to the other electrode right below.
You’ll need either two of the 2×2 single-snap Compex® electrodes or one of the 2×4 single-snap Compex® electrodes. Place the one 2×2 electrode on the top of the peroneus longus muscle which is located on the outside of the leg (imagine along the side of the seam of your pant leg), just below the knee.
For the Compex® Wired device, connect the black snap on the top 2×4 electrode and the corresponding red snap onto the bottom electrode. The Compex® Wireless device setup is the same. Attach one pod to the top electrode and the other end of the same pod onto the electrode just below. If there is slack, you can twist the pod to tighten.
